Why Waynesville Homeowners Hire Us

A lot of gutter companies sub the install out to a crew the estimator never met. The person who measured your house is not the person who shows up. Small details get lost between the quote and the truck.

We do not work that way. Devon, our estimator, spent years on the crew before he moved to sales. He measures your roof, and our own employees install what he quoted.

If your fascia (the board running along the edge of the roof) has a low spot, your downspout drops into a puddle, or a corner needs a different bracket, we tell you before we cut anything. You hear about problems from us, not from the next storm.

What the Installation Process Looks Like

Gutter installation quote process infographic showing 6 steps by Express Gutters

1. Free estimate

Devon comes out to Brevard, measures your roof, and writes you a quote. Same day. No deposit.

2. Schedule

Most homes book within one to three weeks.

3. Tear-off and fabrication.

We pull the old gutter. Then we form your new gutters out of an aluminum coil on a truck-mounted machine in your driveway. One piece per straight run. No joints along the long sections.

4. Install and walk-through.

Brackets, downspouts, sealed corners. We run a hose if you want, and you sign off before we leave.

Most homes finish in one day.

Choosing Your Gutter Size

Most Waynesville homes do best with 6-inch seamless K-style gutters. Haywood County sits in a wetter pocket of WNC, with the Great Smoky Mountains to the west driving above-average annual rainfall. Builder-grade 5-inch gutters were designed for flatter ground, less tree-coverage, and average rain.

A 6-inch gutter holds about 40% more water than 5-inch. Paired with oversized 3-by-4 downspouts, it handles the volume Waynesville weather actually produces.

For larger homes, long unbroken roof runs, or properties with heavy forest canopy up toward Eaglesnest, we step up to 7-inch box or European box profile. 7-inch is the differentiator. Most gutter companies in the area do not stock it.

5-inch still makes sense in narrow cases. A small Hazelwood bungalow with a low-slope roof, light tree cover, and short eave runs can be fine with 5-inch K-style.

All profiles come in K-style (flat back, decorative front, standard for modern WNC homes), half-round (classic look for older Craftsman and Victorian homes downtown), or European box (square box profile for contemporary roofs). Over 20 color options to match your roof, fascia, or trim.

Gutter Styles We Install

K-Style Gutters

This is the most popular style. The front has a decorative shape that looks like crown molding. The flat back sits flush against your fascia board

K-style gutters hold more water than round gutters. They work great for most homes in Western North Carolina..

Half-Round Gutters

These are the classic half-circle gutters you see on older homes. They have a smooth, rounded shape that looks great on historic and craftsman-style houses.
Half-round gutters are easy to clean because debris does not get stuck in corners. They are a solid choice if you want a traditional look.

European Box Gutters

Box gutters have a modern, square profile. They hold more water than K-style and half-round options.

We install European box gutters for homeowners who want a clean, contemporary look. They are also popular for commercial buildings.

Gutter Materials We Use

Aluminum Gutters

Aluminum is the most common choice. It is lightweight, rust-proof, and lasts 20+ years with basic maintenance. We offer aluminum gutters in over 20 colors. You can match your trim, your roof, or your siding.

Copper Gutters

Copper gutters are the premium option. They last 50+ years and develop a natural patina over time. If you want gutters that stand out and add curb appeal, copper is worth the investment.
