Step 1: Initial Estimate and Measurement

The process begins with an estimate where the our Estimator will visit your home and measure, and assess existing gutters, damages, etc. He’ll assess your roofline, measure the length of the gutters needed, and discuss the best type of gutter system for your home.

Step 2: Material Selection and Ordering

Based on the estimate, our Office Manager will help you choose the best materials for your gutters, whether it's aluminum, copper, or vinyl. She’ll order the gutters, downspouts, and all necessary hardware to fit your home’s specifications.

Step 3: Removal of Old Gutters (if applicable)

If you already have old gutters, the installers will remove them first. This involves carefully detaching the existing system and disposing of the old materials properly, leaving the area clean and ready for installation.

Step 4: Installing Gutter Brackets and Mounting the Gutters

Once the old system is removed, the installers will begin attaching the brackets to your roofline. These brackets support the gutters and are spaced appropriately to ensure they stay level and secure. The installers will mount the gutters on these brackets, ensuring they’re angled slightly toward the downspouts for proper water flow.

Step 5: Running, Cutting and Fitting the Gutters

If needed, the gutters will be custom-cut to fit the specific dimensions of your home. The installers will use precise measurements to ensure each section fits perfectly along your roofline, making seamless connections between the sections to avoid leaks.

Step 6: Installing Downspouts

Next, the installers will attach downspouts to the gutters at the designated spots. They’ll ensure that the downspouts are placed correctly to direct water away from your foundation and that all connections are tightly sealed. Sometimes the homeowner will choose to have rain chains installed in place of downspouts.

Step 8: Finishing touches & Clean-Up

Finally, the installers will finish the installation and clean up the work area; removing any debris and leftover materials.

We hope you choose Express Gutters for your home’s gutter installation!
